Very cheesy cheese scones

450g sieved whole wheat flour 

130g salted butter 

350g strong cheddar cheese 

300g Greek style yogurt 

2 tea spoon baking powder 

1 tea spoon bicarbonate of soda 


Add the baking powder and soda into the flour, mix the butter into the flour until resembles bread crumbs (I did it by hand but you can use a food processor)

Add the grated cheese and combine. Add the yogurt and mix to a dough, if needed add a little bit of water to ensure no dry flour mix remaining.


Roll or flatten to about 2cm and cut into rounds, makes 12-16 depending on thickness. I got 12 plus a chef's special 🤣


Baked at gas mark 6 for 20-25 minutes pre heated for 5 minutes.
